Can I recommend family or friends to become caregivers with Simpl Care?

Absolutely! We believe the best care comes from those who already share trusted and meaningful relationships with the participant.

What experience is required for my family and friends to become paid caregivers?

There are no requirements for your caregivers to have previous experience. To learn about what requirements may apply to your caregivers, click here.

How many caregivers can I recommend?

We suggest building a team of 3–5 part-time caregivers. This ensures flexibility and increases the chances that someone will be available to provide care when you need it most.

What if I don't know anyone to recommend?

If you don’t have anyone in mind, we suggest reaching out to your family and friends to see if they know someone who could become a caregiver. Social media can be a valuable tool to find someone from your existing network.

Do you have any staff available if I cant find anyone?

We are developing a database of caregiver candidate profiles, but can't guarantee that we have someone who will fit your needs in your area. Ask your Simpl Care representative about local caregiver candidate profiles when onboarding.

Can I become a paid caregiver for my participant as the guardian?

This depends on a variety of factors including what Waiver you are on, and the circumstances surrounding your care. To learn more about your waiver and its relative provider rules, click here.

How much does Simpl Care cost?

We bill the medicaid at the standard agency provider rates provided by your waiver.

What services does Simpl Care support?

How do I sign up to begin working with Simpl Care?

Download the mobile app and create a participant profile. Let us know the name and contact for your Case Manager and we will work with them to get you set up.

How long does it take to add Simpl Care to my Plan of Care?

The process to modify your plan of care to add Simpl Care as an approved provider is typically 1 week or less. However, your unique circumstances can impact the amount of time it takes to complete the transition.

Is Simpl Care a fiscal agent that supports Self-Directed Services?

No, Simpl Care is not a fiscal agent and we don't support Self-Directed Services. Rather, we are a tech-ennabled Disability Services Provider Agency that offers you the same control you love about Self-Directed Services, without the headache of documentation.

Can I use Simpl Care if I'm currently using Self-Directed Services?

Yes, you can work with your Case Manager/Support Coordinator to transition from Self-Directed Services to Simpl Care.

Can I add Simpl Care to my Plan of Care without removing my existing provider?

Yes, in most cases you can have as many providers on your plan of care as you need to get the services that best suit your participant.

Does my home have to be registered as a service setting with the State?

This depends on a variety of factors including what Waiver you are on, and the circumstances surrounding your care. To learn more about your waiver and its service setting requirements, click here.

What do I need to do to qualify my home as a service setting?

If you were required to set up your home as a service setting, it could involve a home-inspection and resident background checks. To learn more about your waiver and its service setting requirements,click here.

What is your privacy policy?

We only share your private medical data with those you authorize us to including caregivers and internal administrative staff. We do not sell your data. For a full look at our privacy policy, click here.

How do I file a grievance or complaint?

We reccomend that you attempt to address your grievance or complaint directly with the peson before you file a formal complaint. If your efforts are unsuccessful, you can file a grievance or complaint by clicking this link.

What do I need to do to be qualified to provide services?

This largely depends on the requirements of the waiver and the needs of the participant. The baseline requirements include background screenings and CPR & First Aid training. Additional trainings may be required including but not limited to Waiver Trainings, Medication Assistance Trainings, and Positive Behavior Support Trainings.

What training does Simpl Care provide?

Simpl Care provides trainings on our policies and procedures, navigating our mobile application, and general best practices in caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Does Simpl Care reimburse me for training costs?

Yes, Simpl care will cover all training fees required for you to be qualified to begin providing care.

How long does it take to get qualified to provide services?

Total training time ranges between 10-20 hours depending on the circumstances. How quickly you complete those trainings depends on your availability and the resources around you.

How much do you pay Caregivers?

We pride ourselves in paying among the highest wages in the industry. However, the specific wage you could be paid depends on the type of care you provide. See the details here.

How frequently do you run payroll?

We run payroll on a semi-monthly pay schedule.

How much am I allowed to work?

Your workload will largely be determined by the needs and budgets of the participants you care for. All new caregivers are capped at 30 hours a week.

What kind of clocking and documentation will I have to do?

We make clocking and documentation simple. No longer will you need to clock in and out in an EVV application & submit paper documentation. We have rolled up all documentation and time tracking into one easy to use mobile app.

No, while Simpl Care has built EVV components inside our mobile app, we are not an EVV Vendor. We are a tech-ennabled disability services provider/agency.

Yes, Simpl Care is an intellectual and developmental disability services provider/agency. We think of ourselves as a hybrid between Self-Directed Services and a traditional service provider/agency offering the same control participants love in a self-directed service model with the support and ease of working with a traditional agency.

How do I help a client get started working with Simpl Care?

Step one is for the guardian to download the Simpl Care mobile app, create an account, and create a participant profile that lists you as their Case Manager/Support Coordinator. Doing so lets us know to reach out to you about modifying their plan of care and adding Simpl Care as an approved Provider.

How long does it take to get a client setup?

This depends on the services being provided and the caregivers the client selects to join their team. In many cases, it takes as little a 1 week to get the caregivers trained and qualified, in other cases we have to work with the waiver to qualify the clients residence as a service setting which takes additional time. Depending on the availabilty and resources near the client and their caregivers, it can take between 1-3 weeks to get them set up and running.

How does Simpl Care distribute reports and billing information?

We have developed a web portal where you are able to log in and view all client reports and documentation in real time.
